  Breaking News, London: Van Ploughs into Pedestrians

  3 male passengers then get out and start stabbing / shooting people according to early reports.. but it could have been anyone for any reason, who knows, possibly jehovahs witnesses or amish.. maybe we'll never know the reason but i'm sure there will be people praying for those involved and hashtags.. thus solving the problem once and for all.. just "life in a big city" according to the muslim mayor of london, sadiq khan..

  In the UK, the government preaches "multi-culturalism & integration" while dividing people by sanctioning children's schools for different religious groups.

  In Scotland, most kids attend either a Catholic school or a non-denominational school. (Islamic schools also exist - http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/plans-first-state-funded-islamic-9848520)

  This system has maintained and perpetuated serious divisions/mistrust/hatred for generations between Catholics and Protestants - mirroring the attitudes seen in Northern Ireland. Perhaps the time has come for politicians to review the need for "faith" schools and remove religious education in every school.

  Having such a sectarian educational system throughout the UK is lunacy in this day and age.

  it is all about paying your vows and especially focuses on three types.. 1 your dedication vow (baptism).

  When the org was pressuring the r & f to make a vow regarding monthly donations, I quoted this scripture to an elder............
  

  (Deuteronomy 23:21, 22) “If you make a vow to Jehovah your God, do not be slow about paying it....otherwise, it will be a sin on your part. But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty of sin."

  I then asked him how he'd react if he had to choose between paying his monthly "vow", or paying for a necessary repair on his car.

  How Long Out Before They leave You Alone

  many years ago i met an older man in the ministry who told me he was a baptized jw years ago, when i met him he was an alchoholic and had girlfriends, i told the elders, two came by and they told me to treat him as a regular worldly guy, my question is (i know this is a fuzzy area) about how much time needs to go by before someone (me for instance) would be looked upon as a non jw worldly person?.

  It totally depends on the mindset of the body of elders in each congregation.

  You'll know if your elders are zealots or are just trudging along and going through the motions.

  Regardless, all you have to say to any of them is "that there's nothing you can discuss with them at present, but thanks for their concern,"

  A JW explains Blood Fractions

  i was looking around from some information on the wt's stance concerning the use of stem cells, and i came across this article on a defending jehovah's witnesses blog.. rather than informing the reader all that much about stem cells, the author diverts the conversation into a discussion of "blood fractions" (*note: the term "blood fractions" appears to be another one of those wt bloodspeak terms coined by the wt.

  "blood components" or "blood products" are the terms used more frequently by the medical world.

  "fractions" implies tiny amounts).

  "The reason most JWs accept fractions is because they can morally and logically be viewed as no longer "blood."

  Using this perverted logic, would a J.W. who loved Ferraris, (but could never afford one) accept the steering wheel from a Ferrari which he knew had been stolen by the local car-thief? It would no longer be a "stolen car" would it?

  Also, what "fractions" of sexual immorality are J.W.'s allowed to accept? (See Acts 15:29)

  My best friend and his family travel to Cyprus and the Greek islands every year for their annual vacation. He asked some Cypriots why Cyprus wasn't covered in solar panels, considering that it has sunshine for most of the year.

  Their reply was that the government wouldn't permit it due to pressure from the energy companies. Whether that's true or not, I don't know, but if solar panels can produce cheaper, safer and cleaner electricity, it begs the question, why aren't Mediterranean (and especially Middle Eastern countries) covered in them?

  @ WATON - my point is that the org's "slave" says Romans 6:7 is referring to a person's literal death, when it is blindingly obvious that it is a person's figurative death which is being discussed.

  Watchtower May 15th 1982, pp. 8,9 - "The Bible explains that at death a person is set free or released from any sins he committed."

  The surrounding verses - 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 & 11 comprehensively prove that the context is figurative:

  2 Certainly not! Seeing that we died with reference to sin, how can we keep living any longer in it?

  4 So we were buried with him through our baptism into his death, in order that just as Christ was raised up from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in a newness of life.

  6 For we know that our old personality was nailed to the stake along with him in order for our sinful body to be made powerless, so that we should no longer go on being slaves to sin.

  8 Moreover, if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.

  10 For the death that he died, he died with reference to sin...

  11 Likewise you, consider yourselves to be dead with reference to sin.....

  Paul was addressing people who were alive but had figuratively died to their former sinful ways. The apostle Peter stated likewise: 1 Peter 2:24 - "He himself bore our sins in his own body on the stake, so that we might die to sins and live to righteousness...."

  Claiming that a person's own death wipes out their sins perverts the doctrine of Christ's ransom.

  Why did I literally feel my stomach churning as I read this unholy spiel which screamed "dictatorial cult" and "control?" The org's manipulators really know how to reach people's hearts.

  It's no wonder that information-savvy J.W. youngsters are waking up and walking away in their droves!
